Macy Summers is a development executive with a strong technical background and 30+ years of information technology investment, innovation, marketing, sales and business strategy. He has extensive experience working in the government, commercial and international sectors.
From 2005 until today, Macy has worked at Lockheed Martin. Most recently, since 2008 Macy has been the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Strategic Development. In this capacity, Macy has been responsible for strategic planning, investments, R&D and innovation in the DoD-focused Product Line. Prior to working as CTO and Vice President, Macy was the Director of Business Development, leading teams in Homeland Security, Intelligence Community, Space Command and Control, and Commercial Satcom markets. Achieved orders in excess of $600 million.
Prior to Lockheed Martin, from 2001 to 2004 Macy was the Vice President of Technology at Pegasus Communications Corporation, responsible for strategic planning a $300 million satellite, including the launch vehicle, ground system capital project, new product development and FCC and International regulatory diligence. Pegasus was later acquired by DirecTV.
From 1999 to 2001 Macy was the Vice President of Broadband Solutions at EMS Technologies, Inc. In his capacity as Vice President, Macy was responsible for strategy, business planning and satellite data services offerings.
